I’m a firm believer that self-care is more than just bath bombs and face masks. However, I do think they play a role in a self-care routine. I like to think of self-care in two ways – the things you do to counter stress (bubble baths, a nap, etc) and how you are being with yourself (are you setting boundaries, are you holding onto the past, do you have limiting beliefs that keep you “stuck, negative self-talk?”). In this blog post, I’ll be rounding up the best self-care products on Amazon and we’ll be hitting both sides of self-care.
1. An Awesome Journal
To begin, journals may take you back to your pre-teen years, but they are such a critical part of any good self-care routine. There are so many benefits to journaling for self-care, such as decreased stress, increased happiness, and a deeper understanding of oneself. If you’re interested in learning more about how and where to start, you can check out my blog post on getting started with journaling.

2. An Epic Coloring Book
The thing about art is that it requires us to slow down and become mindful. When we slow our thoughts down and settle into the present moment, we come up with our best ideas, solve problems, and most importantly relax. Check out these epic adult coloring books or if you prefer paint by sticker books!
3. Planner
Planners help with organizing the mind and bringing calmness to chaos. Depending on how you use your planner, it can be a great source of relief not having to remember everything. Part of my planner includes a small space for self-care that way I can hold myself accountable for taking time for me.
4. Affirmation Cards
Affirmation cards are a small part of my morning or nighttime routine. Each morning or right before bed, I pull out a few cards and they become my affirmations for the day. I repeat these phrases throughout the day and they serve as a reminder that I am loved and I am enough.
5. Water bottle
The human body is made up of 60% water. When we withhold such an important resource from out body, we tend to feel like crap. Sometimes the day gets away from us and we just forget to drink water. To ensure I’m getting the recommended 8ish glasses of water, I use a water bottle. By the end of the day, I make it my goal to have the entire water jug empty.
6. Tea
Tea is a natural and effective way to promote relaxation and ease tension. My personal favorite is sleepy time tea which ensures that I have a good night’s sleep.

7. Earbuds
I use earbuds for listening to Binaural beats, meditations, and during my workouts. I don’t invest a lot of money into earbuds because I personally don’t find it necessary. This brand I’ve had since January and they work great! They’re also under $20!
8. Aromatherapy Pillow Spray
Another one of my favorite tips for relaxing and getting a good night’s sleep is Aromatherapy. If you’re interested in more tips for getting a good night’s sleep, check out this blog post.
9. 52 List of Happiness
Number 9 on my list of the best self-care products on Amazon is the book 52 List of Happiness. 52 listing prompts encourages readers to reflect, and invest in themselves through prompts to help figure out exactly what makes them happy.

10. Candles
Your environment directly affects your mood and your productivity. Why not spruce up your environment for ultimate relaxation. When it’s time to relax, create a routine of lighting your candle, opening up your journal, or turning on some relaxing music. When you have a clear environment, you have a clear mind.
11. Epsom Salt
This is one of those top self-care products on everyone’s list and it’s for good reason. In my opinion, Dr. Teals bath salts are the best. They can be used for calming your mind and body, soothing sore muscles, and rejuvenating your skin.

12. Books
I’m leaving this one a little more vague. Depending on what you’re looking for while you’re on self-care journey, a different book may apply. Check out this blog post on my favorite mindset/self-improvement books.
13. Mood Lamp
I’m the type of person that wants my house as bright as possible until dinner time. Once we finish dinner, I try to start winding it down while completing my nighttime routine.
Unfortunately, not everyone has a light dimmer that can change the vibe in their home. Mood lamps are great for taking a room from bright and active to calm and intimate. Mood lamps can create a more welcoming environment and can adjust based on the experience you are looking for.
14. Diffuser & Essential Oils
A few years ago diffusers became a hot item that everyone was buying in the wellness space. They were on everyone’s Amazon wishlists. Of course, I jumped on the bandwagon and crossed my fingers that it would help build and support my immune system during flu season.
I’ve grown to really appreciate my diffuser, especially if I have the Sunday Scaries or if there’s a cold making its way through my classroom. It’s important to research how to use essential oils and the benefits of each type. I use tea tree oil, lemon, and lavender the most often.
15. Massager
There are so many different at-home massagers. You really can’t go wrong with any of them. This rechargeable hand held massager is great for getting rid of any knots or tension in your body. It also has a comfortable handle and different massage heads.

16. Smart Watch ($30 version)
A smart watch is one of the best self-care products on Amazon. It holds me accountable for making sure I get enough exercise, water, and that I’m overall just taking care of myself. When I have a busy day at work, I always overlook myself and get caught up in my work. A smartwatch forces me to acknowledge the things that I’ve forgotten so I can give my body what it needs.
17. Habit Tracker
I like habit trackers because they’re an aesthetically pleasing way to hold yourself accountable and track any patterns you may have. In the past, I’ve set a goal to meditate every day for 2 weeks to see the benefits and how I would feel differently. Each day it was so satisfying to color in my habit tracker and I was really proud of myself when it was complete.

18. Meditation Cushion
A meditation cushion is not a “must have,” but it is really smart. Having a designated place where you meditate and specifically go to relax makes meditation easier. It’s similar to the idea of only using your bed for sleep. You want your brain to associate the meditate cushion with relaxing your mind, so you can get the most out of your session. They’re also a really cute piece to have in your home.
19. Tibetan Singing Bowl
This is a unique self-care product because most people aren’t familiar with Tibetan singing bowls. I don’t know exactly why these singing bowls are so soothing, but the sound feels incredible. It is one of my favorite noises and instantly relaxes me. If you’re unfamiliar with the sound, look them up on Youtube, I promise you’ll love it!
20. Soothing Sound Machine
The sound of rain, crickets, ocean waves. I’m obsessed with all of them (except white noise). The reason I love soothing sound machines is because it keeps me off my phone. When I pull up soothing sounds on Youtube I always end up scrolling and down a Youtube rabbit hole. A soothing sound machine keeps the night peaceful, technology free, and helps me sleep deeply.

21. Lounge Wear
Comfy clothes are my jam. This tie-dye loungewear set is super cute and extra comfy. Perfect combo in my opinion.
22. Vitamins
Elderberry gummies. Enough said. Elderberry continues to save me and immune system year after year. It’s full of vitamin C and keeps my body functioning at high capacity.
23. Greens Powder
Drinking my green drinks are apart of my morning routine. I mix 1st Phorm Strawberry protein, greens, almond milk, and ice to make a yummy shake. I’m convinced my green drink and vitamins are what keep me healthy all year long.

24. Lettering Book & Pens
Lettering is such a soothing activity. It helps me tap into my creative side and allows me to clear my mind and just focus on the drawing the letters. It’s like an active form of meditation.
25. Plants!
Finally, if you can’t spend a lot of time outside. Bring the outside in! Believe it or not, Amazon sells a wide variety of plants and they come to you in great condition. Filling your home with calming and grounding items such as plants can help you feel great.
